Interesting book research assistant position available

I’m helping to fill this position for a friend right now ….. Two co-authors are seeking a research assistant to work with them on a business-related book project for approximately 12 months. This person will have excellent written English skills and be able to research in Japanese.

Duties include conducting research, arranging and conducting interviews with business executives, and compiling notes and reports, while working directly with the co-authors. Candidates must have experience in researching in Japanese or English (preferably to Masters degree level), and in writing and editing in English. They will have a good understanding of business administration, be detail-oriented, and have experience in managing complex projects. They must also be able to present themselves appropriately and confidently in a business environment. Knowledge or experience in marketing, book distribution, journalism, or sales, is helpful but not essential.

The book production is expected to last one year, and this position is required to be filled until the book’s release. This position is based at the office of one of the co-authors, on a full-time schedule but with a lot of flexibility. This position offers a great learning opportunity for someone interested in being a part of the production of a book. Remuneration is ¥3–4 million for the 12-month period.
