Today’s lunch meeting led to the beginnings of planning another Ask Caroline party, this time for Value Commerce vendors. It’s going to be so much fun!

Spent a bit of time packing up some copies of the February issue of Being A Broad today, which just came out and can also be read online in full here: http://www.being-a-broad.org. It’s another great issue this month! I’m so excited about all the great behind-the-scenes work Greg is doing on our rebranding, and can’t wait to launch it in a few months’ time!

I meet the most unexpected people sometimes in the course of my life in Tokyo! Today I had a lunch meeting with three Japanese people, one of whom was a 76-year-old man ….. who brought The Beatles to Japan. Unbelievable! It seems that British music didn’t reach Japan until The Beatles, and Takashima-san told me some incredible stories of more British pop stars he introduced to Japan.
It was so lovely to meet this incredible man who, in his mid-seventies, is still working away at his own company, Takashima Artists Management, and somehow thinks someone like me can be of any use to him at all!

I had a wonderful time at Tokyo Union Church Women’s Society this morning!I struggled through my cold and had fun! They were such a warm and welcoming group, and so attentive! Patricia did a wonderful job of filming the talk, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what little videos she makes out of it all! I sold 25 books, and gave 50% to a lady who is raising money to buy birthday and graduation gifts for children of an orphanage they support. And signed copies of Ask Caroline as gifts for the seven older girls at the orphanage. A successful event on so many levels!

ちょうどさっき、the Australia and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Independent Business Committeeで勤めるエミルとちょっと耳寄りな 話をしてきました。
